On October 6-7, 2022, Almaty hosted the International Scientific-Practical Conference named "Pediatrics of Kazakhstan: yesterday, today, tomorrow" dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Scientific Center for Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery.

 

The conference was organized by the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Scientific Center for Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery, NGO “Union of Pediatricians of Kazakhstan” and the Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D.Asfendiyarov.

 

 

 

The following topics were covered during the conference:

  • Scientific and practical aspects of the development of pediatrics and pediatric surgery, implementation of innovative technologies in the children's healthcare service.
  • Development and implementation of new effective technologies for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of perinatal pathologies.
  • Pediatric and family vaccination.
  • Topical issues of pediatric surgery. Problems of diagnosis and surgical treatment of congenital malformations in children.
  • Modern technologies for the diagnosis and treatment of oncological and hematological diseases in children.
  • Rare diseases. Problems of early diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, prevention of complications and registration.
  • Socially significant diseases in the practice of a pediatrician. Personalized care for children with chronic and other diseases. Rehabilitation and palliative care for children with socially significant diseases. Children's disability issues.
  • High-tech types of medical care.
  • Other topical issues of modern pediatrics with the application of various aspects of medical logic in the framework of differential diagnosis and multidisciplinary approach to the examination and treatment of children.
  • Preparation and training of pediatric personnel.

 

 

 

 

 

The conference was aimed at further development and improvement of medical care for children in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

About 6,000 participants from all regions of Kazakhstan, CIS countries and beyond took part in this event. This event allowed pediatricians of various specialties to exchange experience and get acquainted with the best practices of foreign and domestic peers in providing medical care to children, as well as to discuss the issues of implementation and development of modern medical and diagnostic technologies in pediatrics and pediatric surgery.

With the purpose of achieving high efficiency in the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of children, specialists were able to exchange experience and strengthen professional cooperation with leading scientists and experts in the field of pediatrics and pediatric surgery from various countries, such as Azerbaijan, Belarus, Great Britain, Germany, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Czech Republic.

The issues of modern medical and diagnostic technologies in the scientific and clinical practice of pediatrics and pediatric surgery were discussed at the thematic sessions of the conference.

The scientific program of the conference included thematic plenary sessions devoted to topical problems of pediatrics and neonatology, pediatric surgery, oncological and hematological diseases, sections on orphan diseases, nursing care, immunology and allergology, diagnosis and treatment of childhood infections.
